The 2024 season is winding down which means it’s time for the annual Club Championship Tournament. This is the big one ladies, and the stakes are high. You don’t want to miss out on this one! Entries are now open.
WHEN: September 18th and 25th, 2024

ENTRY FEE: $10 per player. Deadline to enter the tournament is September 13, 2023. No refunds after close of entries, end of day September 11, 2023. Janice will be collecting entry fees on Wednesdays after play, or you can mail a check made out to DWGC to:

ELIGIBILITY: All DWGC members in good standing who joined no less than 60 days prior to the first day of September, and have completed a minimum of four rounds of golf with DWGC between June 1st and September 1st of this year. Players with a USGA Handicap Index over 40.4 will have their index adjusted to the maximum allowed (40.4).
FORMAT: This is a two day stroke play tournament played on consecutive Wednesdays. First round pairings will be a blind draw. Second round pairings will be based on standings after the first round.
START TIME: 8:00 AM shot gun start
RULES: The rules of play for this tournament are governed by the 2024 USGA rules and all local and club rules as outlined on the rules pages in the DWGC Handbook and on this website.
There is no limit on maximum number of strokes per hole. Players who pick up on any hole will be disqualified.
If there is any question during play, the player should play a second ball keep both scores until completion of the hole, and bring the issue to the Rules Committee after the round for a ruling.
Each pairing shall turn in TWO scorecards signed by at least two members of the pairing. Players shall not leave the course until their scorecards are verified by the Tournament Chair.
Ties will be broken using the count back (9, 6, 3, 1) holes method on the last round played.
PURSE: Purse consists of the total of the DWGC allocated funds for the Club Championship Tournament plus all entry fees. Winnings will be awarded to the Club Champion (low gross winner), Low Net Winner, and the first two low gross and two low net placements in each flight.
CLOSEST TO THE PIN: The two CTP holes will be hole #7 on the first round, and hole #16 on the second round. Two placements will be paid each week. First place shall win $3 and second place shall win $2.
